Lee Boughey and Tim Heaton imagesLee Boughey, senior manager of communications and public affairs for Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc., and Tim Heaton, vice president of Coolerado Corporation, are each serving two-year terms as co-chairs of the Colorado Energy Coalition (CEC).

Boughey joined Tri-State following nearly six years as stakeholder partnerships manager and external relations manager for the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden. He serves in several leadership positions with local, regional, and national energy, technology, and economic development organizations.

Boughey has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Colorado and a master's degree in environmental policy from the University of Denver.

Heaton is one of the original founders of Coolerado Corporation, which manufactures and sells innovative air conditioners that use one-fifth or less of the energy required by the most efficient conventional systems. He has more than 27 years of experience in business, marketing, sales, and governmental public affairs.

Heaton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Colorado State University.
