About Metro Denver EDC

Growing our economy from within is smart business.

The Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (Metro Denver EDC) is comprised of 70 counties, cities, and economic development groups from throughout Metro Denver and Northern Colorado.

This unique partnership is the nation’s first and only truly regional economic development entity in which many area economic development groups have joined together to represent, and further, the interests of an entire region. Member organizations operate under a Code of Ethics and serve as account representatives for the entire region.

Ongoing retention and expansion efforts are standard operating procedure for Metro Denver's economic development organizations. They work daily to create new primary jobs, help companies with real estate and permitting needs, promote proactive business legislation, and support a competitive business environment.

Since Metro Denver's companies create 80 percent of all new jobs in the region annually, it only makes good business sense to invest in recruitment and expansion efforts in our communities. And in these challenging economic times, area economic development groups are leading major business retention efforts – solving problems – and alerting Colorado companies of changes in tax law and incentives that will stimulate job growth.
