Adams County

Adams County is forecasted to have record growth and economic opportunity over the next 20 years.

The County benefits directly from four of the five multi-billion-dollar projects in Colorado: the Fitzsimons Life Science District, the E-470 toll road, FasTracks, and a close proximity to Denver International Airport.

Forbes magazine identified Adams County as the third-best place in the nation to weather the current economic downturn based on three factors: job growth, low property taxes, and affordability.

The 1,180-square-mile county is located in the northeast quadrant of Metro Denver and runs 71 miles east from Sheridan Boulevard into the plains. Adams County offers a diverse business and industry base, with 34 major business parks along major corridors, various transportation options, major residential growth, and recreational opportunities throughout the area.

The air transportation, energy, life science, and logistics industries have a strong presence in Adams County and serve as the foundation for future growth in employment opportunities, business relocations and expansions, and investments in the tax base.
