Thornton

Thornton, conveniently located northeast of Denver, encompasses more than 31 square miles with more than 1,000 acres of beautiful public parks, 2,000 acres of commercially zoned property, three large employment centers, and a health services district located in the heart of the community.

With a population doubling to nearly 120,000 in the past six years, Thornton is among the fastest growing cities in the nation. More than 50,000 additional housing units are slated to be built and forecasts predict more than 60,000 new jobs will be generated in northern Thornton along the E-470 toll way.

Thornton is home to Ascent Solar Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of thin-film photovoltaic modules which efficiently generate electricity from our abundant sunshine. Thornton's commitment to attracting new, green businesses is ongoing. The proximity and ease of access to Denver International Airport is a major strategic advantage for many companies considering locating in Colorado. With a multitude of housing opportunities, schools, and amenities, Thornton can meet the needs of new companies and their most important assets—people.
