Aurora

Strategically located on the high plains along the eastern edge of Metro Denver, Aurora is a business leader in key growth industries including biotechnology, aerospace, and high-tech.

Two major interstate highways, rail service, the E-470 toll way, Denver International Airport, Front Range Airport, and infrastructure improvements have significantly contributed to Aurora’s development. The City has over 12,300 businesses employing more than 118,700 people. Aurora’s highly educated workforce has attracted an impressive array of international companies including Boeing, Raytheon, L'Oreal, General Motors, Northup Grumman, Corporate Express, and Lockheed Martin.

Aurora is home to the largest medical-related redevelopment project in the nation, the $4.3 billion Fitzsimons Life Science District, which includes the Children’s Hospital and the Colorado Science + Technology Park–a 170-acre bioscience park with six million square feet planned. The adjacent Anschutz Medical Campus includes the University of Colorado Denver and the University of Colorado Hospital.
