Two major interstate highways, rail service, the E-470 toll way, Denver International Airport, Front Range Airport, and infrastructure improvements have significantly contributed to Aurora’s development. Aurora is home to the largest medical-related redevelopment project in the nation, the $4.3 billion Fitzsimons Life Science District, which includes the Children’s Hospital and the Colorado Science + Technology Park–a 170-acre bioscience park with six million square feet planned. The adjacent Anschutz Medical Campus includes the University of Colorado Denver and the University of Colorado Hospital.
