Cris White is the chief operating officer with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). During his 19 years at the Authority, White served in various capacities including loan origination, credit administration, and asset management.

White is responsible for CHFA’s single family, multifamily, and business loan origination activities, tax credit allocation and administration, asset management, Section 8 HAP contract administration, and real estate portfolio management and acquisition businesses. White also serves as a member of CHFA’s Executive Committee where he is responsible for strategic planning.

CHFA was created in 1973 by the Colorado Legislature to address the shortage of affordable housing in the state. Since then, CHFA has established itself as the front-runner in the affordable housing industry by financing single family mortgages for qualifying homebuyers and supporting developments of apartments for low and moderate income residents. In 1982, CHFA started offering loans to small and medium sized businesses.

White serves on the Executive Committee of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation and Mayor Hickenlooper’s Denver Housing Plan Task Force. He is also a volunteer assistant coach for the Regis University men’s soccer team.
