David Schachter is a Member of Sherman & Howard LLC, a regional law firm based out of Denver. Sherman & Howard counsels and represents its clients in most aspects of law affecting businesses and public institutions. Established in 1892, it is Denver's oldest firm with more than 160 attorneys practicing in seven offices.

Schachter leads the firm's intellectual property practice group and specializes in intellectual property and technology protection, invention rights, Internet law, emerging business, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital financing.

Schachter received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Santa Clara.
