Lisa Millet is the Colorado Office Manager for URS Corporation’s Infrastructure and Environmental Business. Millet leads more than 500 engineers, scientists, and technical staff in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Glenwood Springs for this fully integrated engineering, construction, and technical services organization.

URS is one of the largest engineering design service firms in Colorado, and a leading U.S. federal government contractor with an extensive network of offices across the United States and in more than 40 countries. URS provides services to a broad range of clients in four key market sectors: federal, infrastructure, power, and industrial and commercial. Within each of these markets, URS’ staff of more than 47,000 provides comprehensive environmental and engineering skills and expertise that is a valued resource to clients in Colorado and around the world.

Since opening its first office in Denver in 1953, URS now has seven offices and over 1,200 employees in the state, providing both engineering and environmental solutions to Colorado companies and federal, state, and local agencies for more than 58 years. URS has been involved in Metro Denver’s growth through environmental, planning, and engineering projects that support many of the roads, highways, airports, hospitals, museums, residential developments, and water reservoirs.

Millet began her career with URS Corporation 25 years ago in Denver as a staff geologist. During that time, she has managed environmental compliance, permitting, and auditing assignments throughout Colorado, the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Millet has worked with clients to develop and implement ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) that integrate and enhance their other business management programs and tools. Her passion is working with clients to improve their environmental performance. 

Millet is a member of the Metro Denver EDC’s Executive Committee. “I have made valuable business contacts through my participation with the Metro Denver EDC. URS uses the information gained through our participation to tailor our business development plans to target the types of industry clusters that are present or moving into the state.”
