Become an Investor
Broad-based support from Metro Denver’s business leadership and companies is vital to achieve economic recovery and future economic vitality. The Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (Metro Denver EDC) is funded through five-year commitments from our investor companies at the investment levels below. The Metro Denver EDC is an affiliate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Five levels of leadership and investment opportunities are available to Metro Denver EDC Investors: Founders Group, Executive Committee, Board of Governors, Supporting Investors, and the Metro Denver EDC Professionals.
- Founder's Group ($50,000 + annually) - This group is comprised of 20-30 CEOs from the region’s largest employers and major Metro Denver EDC investors. The Founders provide long-range guidance to our organization on business issues that impact the region including: workforce, significant economic opportunities, transportation, land use, water issues, and economic diversification. Meets once per year.
- Executive Committee ($25,000 + annually) - Consists of 30-40 Metro Denver EDC investors, representing a cross-section of the region’s industries. The Executive Committee is co-chaired by two investors serving two-year terms. The Executive Committee oversees the Metro Denver EDC's budget, work plan, and programs. The Chair of the Metro Denver EDC’s Professional’s group serves as a voting member of the Executive Committee. Members serve terms of one, two, or three years. Terms can be renewed for one additional term. Meets 12 times per year.
- Board of Governors ($10,000 + annually) - Comprised of all Metro Denver EDC investors. Members help draft the Metro Denver EDC's annual work plan and serve on committees and special task forces. This group is the Metro Denver EDC's major asset base and provides the expertise to achieve optimum results. Meets six times per year.
- Metro Denver EDC Professionals - Comprised solely of Metro Denver EDC’s economic development partners throughout the region. The Chair of this group serves on the Executive Committee. This group meets in conjunction with the Board of Governors and helps the Metro Denver EDC develop its annual economic development work plan, marketing programs, and economic policy recommendations. The group also organizes trade shows and missions and is instrumental in coordinating site selection visits. Meets six times per year.
