CH2M Hill to create St. Louis bicycle plan

Colorado's CH2M Hill has been hired by a St. Louis-area parks agency to provide planning and engineering services for the development of a comprehensive bicycle master plan there.

The contract with Great Rivers Greenway is worth $100,000. Great Rivers Greenway develops the St. Louis area’s greenways, parks and trails.

The project will identify a network of roadways and interaction with the trail systems to improve the use of bicycles in commuting to work as well as the safety of motorists and cyclists, the engineering, construction and operations firm said.

The company said it would focus on connecting residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, schools, transit and parks.

Douglas County-based CH2M has $6.4 billion in annual revenue and more than 25,000 employees
