Metro Denver Economy

Metro Denver Economy

Our diversified economy is attracting attention.

Over the past two decades, Metro Denver has successfully diversified its economy with industries like aerospace, bioscience, and energy. Colorado continues to outpaces the nation in job growth, and in 2007, the Corporation for Enterprise Development ranked the state No. 3 for creating new companies.

While Metro Denver was not immune to the national economic downturn following the post 9/11 high-tech fallout, we've rebounded in a big way, adding over 102,000 new jobs from 2003 to 2007.
