WIRED Initiative to host Career Polling Event

The Metro Denver WIRED Initiative is hosting a Career Polling Event October 23 at the Denver Newspaper Agency. Dr. David Hill, director of Hill Research Consultants, will unveil findings from the Metro Denver WIRED Initiative's poll of parents, students, teachers, guidance counselors, and job seekers. Guests will learn:

• Where do students, parents, and teachers get information about high-tech careers?
  
  
• What misconceptions keep potential workers from attaining lucrative and secure jobs?
  
  
• How does gender play a role in perceptions of Metro Denver's four fast-growing, high-paying industry sectors: aerospace, bioscience, energy, and IT?
  
  
• How can we reach future workers and appeal to them?
