Denver to host bond design and construction open house
The City of Denver, with the Better Denver Bond Program, is hosting an open house/fair for design and construction companies Tuesday, December 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Colorado Convention Center to learn about opportunities on bond projects and other city-funded design and construction projects, and to become aware of the requirements and processes of how to do business with the City of Denver.
Get information on:
- Project lists and brief project descriptions
- Bond dollars for each project
- Approximate timeframe/schedule for each project
- The RFP/bidding process and bid submission tips
- City business processes and requirements, such as certifications, licenses or prevailing wage
- Where to go on the web to find out about these bond projects, and other city-funded construction project jobs, and to find out more about doing business with the City
Speak with representatives who are managing these bond projects, and meet with other City agency representatives who are involved in various ways with these projects, including:
- Parks, Public Works, Facilities Planning & Management, and others

The Better Denver Bond Program will improve, preserve, renovate and create many amenities that touch our lives – including roads, libraries, parks, recreation centers, day care sites, hospitals, public safety and cultural facilities. The improvements are being implemented over a five year period through 2012, and are funded by the $550 million dollar, voter-approved bond.
