CCIA's 2nd annual award keynote Kevin Skillern announced

The Colorado Cleantech Industry Association will hold its 2nd annual "Colorado Cleantech Industry Awards Celebration" Monday, November 7, 2011, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Denver. Kevin Skillern, Managing Director Venture Capital, GE Energy Financial Services will provide the keynote address for the event which will showcase companies and individuals who have made a significant impact on Colorado's cleantech industry during the past year.

The Colorado Cleantech Industry Association will hold its second annual "Colorado Cleantech Industry Awards Celebration" Monday, November 7, 2011, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Denver. "We're thrilled to welcome Kevin Skillern, a recognized global leader in energy investing and a cleantech visionary, as our keynote speaker for this program. After last year's sell-out event, we are looking forward to the 2011 celebration with great anticipation," says Christine Shapard, Executive Director of the CCIA. "This event, presented by Cooley, is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to showcase the companies and individuals who have made a significant impact on Colorado's cleantech sector this past year. It's a great opportunity to recognize their efforts, network with the cleantech community and hear from Mr. Skillern."

Widely regarded as a leader in the energy and cleantech investment space, Mr. Skillern is the Managing Director for Venture Capital with GE Energy Financial Services and he leads the investment activities for Energy Technology Ventures, a joint venture formed by GE, NRG Energy, Inc. and ConocoPhillips focused on investing in emerging energy and water technology companies. GE has long been a leader in energy investments and focuses on equity investments in companies that pursue game-changing technologies and services throughout the energy and water value chain, from natural resources to cleantech. Mr. Skillern will deliver a keynote address covering "The Global Trends in Cleantech Financing."

In addition to the keynote, Colorado's cleantech leaders will be honored. Winners will be announced in the following categories:
