German wind energy experts to host reception

On November 12, 2009, the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Colorado Chapter – will be hosting an industry networking event as part of the transatlantic WindEnergy Business Event Series.

The scope of the event is to further collaboration between German and American leaders in the Wind Energy industry – especially in the state of Colorado which is rapidly becoming a center for renewable energy research in the United States.

The Networking Reception will take place at Rolling Hills Country Club in Golden, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a unique opportunity for members of the Colorado commercial industry, representatives and city councils to personally meet with high-ranking officials of German wind energy companies. The delegation will be accompanied by the German Consul General in Los Angeles, Wolfgang Drautz, who will also open the networking reception.

Members of the German delegation include: August Friedberg GmbH, GEDORE Werkzeugfabrik Otto Dowidat KG, Pilz GmbH & Co. KG, Notus Energy, SIAG Aerisyn LLC, PowerWind GmbH,WKA-Beton-Service GmbH. These companies are leaders in the production of wind turbines, wind project development or tower production. Prior to the evening reception in Golden, the German Wind Energy Business Delegation will visit manufacturing facilities, attend site demonstrations, and will be introduced to important players in the wind energy industry in the region.
