Liteye wins $22.6M contract from Army

Denver Business Journal

Liteye Systems Inc. of Centennial won a contract to make target-finding technology for the U.S. Army. The contract is worth up to $22.6 million over five years.

The U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command is buying Liteye’s optical display technology that shows enhanced images taken by Raytheon-built LRAS3 sensors, which are used to find, identify and precisely locate far-off targets for soldiers.

The small Liteye LRAS3 Monocular Display can be mounted to a helmet or hand held, allowing soldiers on foot to be mobile when they use the truck- or tripod-mounted LRAS3 sensor data.

Liteye will build the device locally. Deliveries to the Army are expected to start at the end of the month.
