Nichols and Sobanet to speak at Health Care Luncheon

WHAT

Nationally renowned health care policy expert Len Nichols will join state economic expert Henry Sobanet to discuss their findings in a new study about the economic impact of health care reform and Colorado’s current health care system.

The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce will host its seventh annual Health Care Policy Luncheon, presented by Exempla Healthcare.

Len Nichols, a highly respected health care economist, directs the health policy program at the New America Foundation. Colorado budget and fiscal expert Henry Sobanet, President of Colorado Strategies, served as the Director of the Office of State Planning and Budgeting under Gov. Bill Owens. Sobanet managed the Colorado team for this study on behalf of the University of Denver’s Center for Colorado’s Economic Future. Together they will preview a new report: The Future of Colorado Health Care - An Economic Analysis of Health Care Reform and the Impact on Colorado's Economy. The study was initiated and supported by The Colorado Trust and the Colorado Health Foundation. Charlie Brown, Executive Director of the DU Center for Colorado’s Economic Future will introduce the featured speakers.
