Advanced Manufacturing Industry Training Program

Program’s Objectives: The Advanced Manufacturing Industry Training Program will train and allow 190 individuals to receive certificates/credentials in industry-specific (aerospace, bioscience, energy) career development for the incumbent/displaced workforce with short-term, high-impact training via five certification programs in “Lean Basics,” “Lean Six Sigma,” “Quality Basics,” “Quality Technician,” and “Yellow Belt” training.

Individuals Served: The first Yellow Belt Training Program kicked off on February 11, 2009, and was held at Particle Measuring Systems in Boulder, Colorado, for 15 incumbent workers and one displaced worker. An additional 39 attendees are approved for a Lean Basics and Lean Six Sigma Programs, with another 30 in the queue for consideration and approval for Lean Programs.

Success Story: It is too early in the program for a success story, but check back in a little while.
