Behind every successful company is its workforce. And in Metro Denver, you'll find just the highly educated, productive, and active workforce to drive your company's growth.

Just over 36 percent of Colorado's residents have a bachelor's degree or higher, which gives the state the country's second-most educated workforce behind Massachusetts. Metro Denver is a magnet for technical and scientific workers who are interested in career opportunities in our region's dynamic industries like aerospace, bioscience, energy, and information technology.

And perhaps there's no greater incentive for the country's best and brightest to locate to Metro Denver than our unparalleled lifestyle. In fact, Denver ranked as the fittest city in the nation in 2011 according to news website The Daily Beast. Additionally, the Trust for America's Health says Colorado has the nation's lowest obesity rate.

Plus with a cost of living that is easier on the wallet than in other major cities and a balanced lifestyle with natural appeal, recruiting the best and brightest has never been a problem in Metro Denver.

The Metro Denver (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) WIRED Initiative was a partnership among industry, workforce, education, and economic development in the nine-county Metro Denver region to create a home-grown skilled workforce for the region’s fastest growing high-wage industries. WIRED strengthened the talent pipeline at all levels to produce a workforce skilled in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in aerospace, bioscience, energy, and information technology-software. The WIRED Final Report details the success of the program.
